19th century Prime Patent Egg box from old Maine farm

Found in Maine from an old farm estate – wonderfully stenciled egg box – PRIME PATENT EGG BOX – original stenciling, color and hinges – box is tight and most likely transported dozens if not thousands of eggs over the years. Great folky piece – color is bright and stencil is crisp!

circa 1870 blue gray firkin – nice size!

Nice old firkin with old gray paint, looks blueish in certain light. Firkin about 1870 and paint about 1910. Original iron tacks with copper tacks replacing those in the bottom lap. Square nails hold the buttons. Extra long handle. Measures 9″ diam top, 9.75″ diam bottom, 9.25″ high. $395
